Iran has conditioning problems as well as team work. Creativity is there no doubt but conditioning is very weak. Then there are the egos that match Maradona’s!
The Nikbakht factor is a disasterous phenomenon in Iran’s Football culture. That’s an unrully, out of shape, has been player who doesn’t respect any one or any bounds. Lack of management is still there save perhaps the 2 major clubs of Isfahan.
Dejagah and Amin have been on my wish list for Iran for a long time.

@superduperadapter If Iran show up in any competition with these players (amin samii, ashkan dejagah and couple others) who are physical/technical/creative/hungry4recognition, Iran will kick ass not only in Asia but in any international competition including WC, I have seen these players playing brilliantly, amin in France and Spain(Sevilla) and ashkan in Germany and I can not believe they are Iranian, I first thought they were from South America (argentine or brazil) but no they are Iranian

@AvazFreedom Iran’s problem is not the creativity, nor the team work, IRAN ‘s main problem is that they never show up in any competition with their best players, these players you see here might be some what creative but they don’t have physical condition to play a world cup nor to compete at the highest European league level , believe it or not Iran has potential ”european league experienced”dangerous players like playmaker amin samii or striker/winger ashkan dejagah but they don’t bring them

And Qotbi should have resigned … He’s not a good coach at all…

Aead4, this match was played in Italy…
honestly, on a regular day, Lazio should have lost by at least 3 goals… There were couple of penalties denied and also many chances wasted … I can only say that I am shocked why Iranian coach Qotbi has chosen Lazio for a friendly… Wasn’t there a stronger team to practice?
aead4
where was this?

What is fair is fair. Iran had more chances in this game but Iran’s defense was pretty bad especially on that assist for Lazio’s goal. Iran seemed to be banking on the creativity of its individual players and still didn’t look like a team but a group of talented players.
Both teams have a lot of work to do to get ready for their opponents.
Go Iran!

@GabrielGaliano if iran would have played with as roma would lost like 6 1 or somthing but we was about to win lazio!!! what happened to lazio? the used to be a great team! but im still great fan of totti and as roma

I’ve seen these friendly and it has been a very competitve and rough match. The iranians should had won, And I think that if Lazio wants to play with 3 central defenders against teams like Inter, Juve , Roma or Milan the fact is that they will suffer to reach the adversary goal area. Its’s a very defensive tactic for a team that aspirates Europe.
IRANisPERSIA1
iran should of won 8-0
