NOT IDEAL
The Lazio manager Vladimir Petkovic has said that his team are not in the ideal condition going into the match against Parma, who managed an incredible victory over Inter Milan during the midweek action. Inter Milan are one of the teams chasing the title this season, but they were stunned by Parma in the midweek action. Lazio, who have been excellent in the last few matches, will be taking on Parma at home on Sunday, but the manager Petkovic has said that his team are struggling with a number of problems to key players. The goalkeeper Federico Marchetti is one of the key issues the manager has to deal with in this match.
The 29-year-old is currently struggling with an injury problem and Petkovic will be waiting until the last moment in order to make a decision. If he does not play, then the manager is likely to use the experienced goalkeeper Bizarri, who has already made four appearances this season. Petkovic has said that there has been a drop in the fitness levels of the players over the last few matches. The manager also has to deal with the prospect of getting the best out of the star Argentine Zarate, who has not been at his best this season.
“There has been no progress from yesterday, so he still has this muscular problem and is very much in doubt. I have to evaluate if it’s worth risking him or not. The whole team had a slight dip in fitness levels, but we have never lost two in a row and are rediscovering our sharpness. Zarate needs to take care of himself so he can get back into competition with the others. He must be professional, arriving for training and the game with a smile on his face,” said the Lazio manager.
