KLOSE RESUMES TRAINING
Lazio have been boosted by the news that German striker Miroslav Klose has resumed training. The German striker moved to the club in the summer and has been one of the main reasons for them to be challenging for the Champions League positions this season. However, their bid to finish in the top three has been dented by the poor form the club has been showing in recent weeks. As a result, they have relinquished their stronghold on the third position and are now in the fifth position. They now have to make up two points over Napoli and Udinese if they are to finish in the Champions League next season.
Miroslav Klose has been the top scorer for Lazio this season with 13 goals to his name. However, he has not played for the club since March after picking up a thigh strain during training. Lazio has certainly missed his goals, which is quite clearly seen from their poor form in the last few weeks. Lazio do not have a single victory in the last five matches, which has contributed to their downfall in the league. They are now up against the competition from Roma and Inter Milan for the fifth position, which will at least give them the chance to take part in the Europa league.
Initially, it was thought that Miroslav Klose would not return until the Euro 2012. The 33-year-old striker currently holds the record for the most a number of World Cup goals. However, the striker himself said that the reports were untrue and that he would return to the first-team action for Lazio in May. They have been proven true after the striker has now resumed training. Lazio have tough matches in the last two. They will be facing Atlanta and Inter Milan.
