Juevntus Draw Closer

Juventus had a perfect chance to close the gap on leaders Lazio and they utilised the opportunity perfectly by winning their game in hand against Palermo 3-0. The spectacular win puts them level on points with Lazio at the top of the Italian Serie A table. It comes as a major blow for Lazio who had been hoping for something of a miracle from Palermo. Juventus are still undefeated in the season so far, having played 10 games, and in spite of Lazio’s good form, they have struggled to match the Old Lady match for match.

This week they could only draw against Napoli. The 0-0 means that they were unable to take advantage of the problems Juventus have been having recently, where they have struggled to break down the opposition. Juventus broke their run of draws with the win over Palermo, putting Juventus ahead in the table by virtue of having played a fewer number of games. Once Juventus win their game in hand, they would move three points clear of Lazio. The result is of extreme importance given that Lazio will be facing Juventus in their next match. However, it will undoubtedly be Lazio who head into the tie with the advantage, given that they are at home.
