BIGLIA JOINING

Lazio are expected to confirm their signing of Anderlecht midfielder Lucas Biglia in the next few days. Biglia, in the meantime, has expressed his delight at being able to come to terms with the club like Lazio. The Italian club came extremely close to finishing in the Champions League places last season. They managed to stay in competition with the likes of Napoli and Milan till the remaining few weeks of the campaign. They have been linked with several names in the last few weeks in a bid to strengthen the team.

He has recalled that he has spent the last seven years in Belgium and it was probably the right time to move on. He has said that the club’s directors finally agreed his request to play for a bigger club in a more competitive league. Now, the deal has been agreed with Lazio. Lazio finished the Italian Serie A in the seventh position after being let down in the league table by poor form only in the last few weeks of the campaign.
